This Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) will give you, as an international student, a solid financial accounting and management background to secure your career potential in this high-paying and diverse field. In Canada, there is now one accounting designation called the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Individuals with this accounting designation are highly sought after in Canada.
In order to enter the CPA education program in Canada, there are three entrance requirements:
- Completion of all CPA preparatory courses.
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree
- (equivalent to a Canadian Bachelor’s degree) in any field.
A full-time accounting job.
Minimum 50% marks in Bachelor’s in commerce/ Business Administration or the most recent diploma/ degree after Bachelor’s.
IELTS – We require an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6.0 in each module.
In case students have 6.0 overall with less than 5.5, they may apply but need to study English as an additional subject (along with main subjects) for one semester. An additional fee of $940 shall be added in their first semester tuition fee.
Hence, student shall need to upgrade his English and opt for this additional English subject and deposit additional $940 along with his tuition fee.
Math – Student need to have 60% marks in Math subject in Grade 12 or any higher degree.
In case students don’t fulfill this requirement, they would need to study Math as an additional subject (along with main subjects) for one semester. An additional fee of $940 shall be added in their first semester tuition fee.
